91 4x4 rear end shutter

just bought a 91 reg cab with 26000 km sat for over a year. I figure its antilocks or the posi is frozen. What do you guys think. By the way great to join you guys at TDR

What kind of shudder? Is it when it turns and how hard is it? A fluid change may just cure the problem, especially if it sat for a while. The clutches in the posi may be dry and need some new additive.

Thanks little dog but I replaced all the fluids right away with synthetics. The rear end has two bottles of additive and 500 mls since. I pulled the spare tire out of it the other day and the up side is totally rusted. Wonder if the previous owner was in the habbit of dropping boats in the ocean. This truck is totally stock and original right down to the shocks. Still think its the brakes but thanks for the input EH!
