speedometer repair

I can rebuild your stock speedo if that is the problem. I have all the parts including the micro chips to fix them with.

I have a 92 w350 whose odometer has stopped working but the speedo works fine. What's the charge to repair? In previous posts, it was suggested the unit be removed and either order the parts and diy or send it off to be rebuilt.

Hi I have two odometers (the original and a replacement) which have the same problem, a small plastic gear which has jammed and lost its teeth. Is it possible to just order the gear? Second hand you usually have to buy the entire instrument cluster which is expensive if you live in Spain.

Try these two businesses. Greenleaf shared them several years ago. Good luck. If we were such a green country then so many of the parts we need from time to time wouldn't be turned into scrap. We lost millions on the so-called "green" initiative "cash for clunkers". Just unmitigated waste!! Here are the phone numbers and businesses for odometer repair/parts, maybe.
Electric motor. The motor or the plastic teeth have gone bad. You can take it apart yourself and order parts or send it out to a repair facility.

Many thanks. I also found the answer by searching odometer on the other 1st gen forum. I'll order the parts and try to fix it. Sending parts from Spain to the USA for repair isn't just a question of cost, the burrocracia te vuelve loco.
