91 D250 transmission troubles

New to TDR. New to working on diesels. Replaced transmission fluid and filter. Still having problems. This weekend I am replacing transmission solenoid and adjusting kick down bands. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -nBs 91 D250

What is it doing

Slipping back and forth in OD. Slipping bt gears in general. Not sure if it is 91 or 91.5. Or what transmission is in it. What's the difference?

Throttle position sensor. It is on top of the injection pump. you might be able to adjust it, but I have never had any luck. Center wire should read 1volt at idle.

Never had luck adjusting it? Should I just replace it?

On mine I could not adjust because they were bad. I have a potimeter in place of my throttle position sensor right now, but the only problem is you loose full throttle down shift. 17 years ago I had good luck with mopar sensors,but the last aftermarket one I bought (299$) lasted for 2 year's.

Sorry forgot to say to make sure you check the wiring at the transmission. Had to replace the pigtail one time because overdrive was kicking in and out on bumpy roads. Maybe someone else that knows more can help. Good luck.
