A buddy has a wore out 92 D350 in need of rear brakes.

He asked if it would be possible to swap a 2001-2002 rear-end in.

Seems he has one located and likes the idea of having discs all around.

Anyone done this? Is spring width/track way off? What about the yokes at the pumpkin?

TIA,

Ian Choplin

Measure it to make sure. Check and see if there is cross over yoke for the 2 sizes.

The problem with the rear disks will probably be the master cylinder setup for drums. It doesn't take as much fluid to activate the drums as it does the disks. Swapping to an MC that will work could be a problem.

Some have tried the disks on the rear with mixed results. I don't think you would gain anything unless you solved the the MC problem and that may be doable.
