'92 D-250 transmission help

hi there i'm new here. well anyway about a month ago i bought a 1992 d 250 std cab 4x4 cummins ,well this past sat. the transmission took a dump,automatic, (the truck won't move) my ? is i really don't want to rebuild so where is the best place to buy a transmission? and what options do i have ,what have you guys done i was told when i bought the truck that dodge's trans. were junk , is there any one who builds a good ?

If you have only had this truck a month, do you know its history (what sort of care it had). Could it be a hung brake(frozen wheel cylinder). With the truck in neutral can it be move. Has the transmission pan been removed to see if it has a lot of metal in the fluid. Just some thoughts.
