'93 club cab 4x4... fuel tank capacity?

I notice my owners manual says my fuel tank should hold 29 gallons. Every time I fuel up it only takes 23 gallons to fill, even after the low fuel light comes on well into the red on "E". I usually go almost 400 miles on a tank. Sound right?

... my '92 is supposed to hold 30 gallons and the light to come on with approximately 6 gallons to go.
I regularily go 500 miles before refilling 24-25 gallons or so.
Don't know how you tell for certain. . don't like to run it dry.

I wish I could go 500 miles on a tank. And I thought 400 was doing good.

According to the owner's manual the 92 holds 30 U. S. gallons. In addition the Low Fuel light is set to come on when the fuel level reaches approximately 1/6 of the tank. I can also easily drive 500 miles before refilling.
