Yep. Dead in the water with the '93. Let me know if you think I'm missing anything. I'm not stuck and I've got a clean dry place to work on it. But if anyone knows where Lakeside MT is and wants to get their hands dirty... .

The truck was moving along just fine and pulling a light load. I was having a hard time keeping speed as if it was getting less and less fuel over the duration of a 400 mile trip.

Started making a sound like it was shifting out of overdrive. Just more engine noise. Definately not transmission. I had the OD off and it would do the same thing.

Coincidently, I got fuel 10 miles before this happened. Truck just cut out as if it ran out of gas. Dropped to idle and then shut down.

I pulled the banjo fitting at the filter. Fuel splashed upon cranking so I THINK the lift pump is good.

I get no fuel out of the banjo fittings at the injector pump and no fuel at the injectors.

I checked the wires to the fuel shut off solenoid and its all connected correctly.

I'm open to ideas but accept that the pump is history. New pump should be here Thurs noon at the latest.

I had a similiar experience with a 24v. Ended up I had a leak at the lift pump, which let air into the system and resulted in an airlock. I had to bleed all the lines to fuel up to the injectors.

Thanks for the suggestions. Filter was clean but replaced anyways.

There is just no fuel coming out of the injector pump. So I've got the pump disconnected but now I got to figure out how to lock the engine so the key and key slot are lined up. I'll be searching for the answer but if you know it, please post...

There is no locking of the engine, or the pump for that matter. Pull the pump and install the new. If the new pump is locked to fire #1 the key will be positioned down towards the bottom. You can turn the engine to TDC or turn the new pump to position the key at 1:00/2:00 position which is where most position the pump anyhow.

Timing is not critical as you probably have read that most folks play with the timing position all the "time". Set it by ear.
