How old is the fuel filter? Check the run/shutoff solenoid at the injection pump, might be bad. Fuel filter could be clogged or lift pump might not be supplying enough fuel to the injection pump. More than likely fuel filter and or shutoff solenoid. The solenoid can be removed and I think, someone, GL jump in here, but I think you can remove the spring inside this solenoid and it will allow the truck to run, but you will no longer be able to shutoff the truck with the ignition key. You will have to pull the manual shutdown lever at the inj pump.

I'd suspect the fuel solenoid as well... . first thing to do is make sure the two wires that connect to it are in good condition/tight... .

If they are ok, then, as suggested, you could remove the solenoid and pull out the rubber tipped plunger and spring, then re-install the solenoid.

As mentioned you'll need to use the manual shutdown lever on the pump for the time being, until you see if this fixes the problem and, until you get a new solenoid.
