Well I guess my luck has about run out . . LOL.

I got home here just the other nite and the front rad support and under the jack is all wet. I took a quick look, it may be the lower rad hose connection that is cracked or the tank on the passenger side to the core.

Anyway, the question remains. Is it worth trying to get it repaired or just replace the whole darn thing?

Thanks guys... Parked and wet... :{

With the age of the truck. I would have it recored and don't worry about it for the rest of its life.

The last truck radiator I had done was a 4 core C30 chevy radiator. It ran me right around $150 U. S. But that has been a few years. So I would raise the amount to around $200 or so. Our radiator is around the same size and shape.

I would take it to a good radiator shop in your area. I've had them repaired before but they always had problems later. I've never had problems with a good re-core.

I agree re-core is the way to go. You might want to check into a high efficency core. It would cost a little more but the cooling it provides is worth the $$.

Rad

I had the same problem, lower connection from the rad had cracked at the seam. I spent $100 to get it fixed, tanked the rad, sealed the crack and repainted it. No problem since...

Thanks for the input guys. .

I will get a better look at it on the weekend. If I was gonna do it I might replace the rad. I'm a little skeptical about recores these days, not too many shops do that anymore with all the new-wave composite rads... .

I'll keep ya posted. .
