Has anybody Had to replace front coil springs and rear leaf springs? If you have do you have any information to share. I would like to use 1ton Suspension components if possible. After 261,000 with a constant load they are tired. Thanks.

The front springs come out when you loosen up the ball joints and drop the a-arms. I have had them out when we did the upper control arm bushings and ball joints. As for the rear, I havent done that yet but would like to see the replies.

Changed my rear springs three years ago. Rested the truck on jack stands and used a hydraulic jack to raise and lower the axle. As I remember it was fairly easy job.

Replaced my springs with one ton springs, they were cheaper by $50. each than the 2500 springs??? Go figure. Bought them at Superior spring.
