i have been looking for a second set of wheels to mount a studded snow on.

i found a set, 94-99,16"x 6. 5" 8 lug on 6. 5. will these fit my 01. my stock whidth is 7. 5" these are 6. 5". i would like to go with a thinner snow than stock to give me the best traction. i am looking for the best tire/wheel setup for the winter, looks are not as important as traction. i need to be able to go in the snow.

thanks for all replies.

I don't see why not.

If you go the other way (late model wheels on earlier trucks) some have reported problems with the brake drum OD being too large for the wheel to fit over and steering component interference.

BTW, I have the polished 2005 alloys (take offs on my 95). :D

The difference is that the wheel fits inside the fender well a bit more than the old ones (oem wheels). No contact or rubbing.

Between the wheels, the flip mirrors and the noisy 12V, it have a service advisor at a local dealership scratching her head. She calls me "one piece at the time" (Old Johhny Cash song). That hurt my feelings!

Good luck and be careful with those studs on dry pavement.

Andy
