Archived 94 AT transmission problems

Ok, 94 12v auto with 201,000 miles. transmission was rebuilt about 35,000 miles ago (by previous owner, I have no details what was done in the 'rebuild'). Torque conv. was locking and unlocking, after doing a forum search, I replaced the TPS assuming this would be the fix. Took the truck for a quick 20 mile spin to my brothers w/ new TPS. First 2 miles truck acted as before, locking and unlocking between 50-60 mph. Then after a few stop signs, it worked correctly fpr the rest of the trip out. On return, the truck intermitently went back to locking/unlocking some, then would operate normally. Before replacing TPS TQ was locking/unlocking constantly. Now it does it much much less, but still seems to be doing it some. I'm at a loss, any help you guys might have is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Clean all transmission connectors. Clean all connectors in the cable going to the transmission. Clean the TPS connector. Clean all grounds involved with the TPS and the tranmission.



Change the TV cable adjustment and see what that does to the way it works.

update

Ok, got the truck checked out on Fri, and replaced the transmission temp sensor (good call SC). Truck ran fine all day Sat, then started doing it again on Sun. It's back in the shop now, and I am waiting to hear more. I'm still at a loss...

If you end up needing a T/C check these guys out I bought a GREAT converter from them and they run a very clean shop.
