94 CTD Stupid pump 370 injectors twins etc.

Was in the hwy and got into it hard ... . got out of it and started to coast. When I hit the skinny pedal it was dead. I thought maybe I was out of fuel so I went and got 5 gal and put it in the truck... still would not start ... . got it home and started trouble shooting ..... I checked the fuel solenoid and I can not push the lever up and further when its engaged. I am not getting fuel past the injection pump ... I have needed additional fuel so I replaced the OEM fuel setup with a FASS system and I still do not have any fuel past the injection pump. I am at a loss for what I should test next?

Update: I have #3 and #4 injector lines cracked... . I now have fuel coming from them ... . it tried to start and died..... the battery is weak again from cranking, so I have it on the charger... .....

Stupid question ... . will he alternator effect a 94 from starting? Looks like I might have cooked the bearings because I have oil all over the front of it.

I will try anything at this point.

I doubt an alternator could stall a cummins. I've seen it on gassers though. Try removing the serpentine belt and see if it runs. Maybe you seized the alternator and it's stalling the engine.

I charged the battery and then took the belt off ... . It cranks very easy but didnt try to fire ... I have fuel coming out of the injector lines?

You said you have oil all over the front of the engine.

The alternator would not do this.

Where is the oil coming from?

Have you fixed the Killer Dowel Pin???

Fuel

Fuel from injector lines, at least 2 or 3 revs with squirt visible. Then tighten up injector lines and may need 10 to 15 revs to catch and go. You might actually have to go the full 30 seconds allowed on starter since it will fire on only 2 cylinders till the other lines are cleared of air during which time it will run very rough till all 6 are getting fuel. Ok guys need some help ………

I have done some trouble shooting and this is what I have…. .

I have the start stop solenoid off and manipulating it by hand …

I can only get it started with the assist of ether or silicone spray …… Once its starts it idles at 2500 RPMS ……… When I move the lever to the off position it dies slowly…. . I am assuming the pump has issues or is the timing way off …… it seems to run smooth just very high RPMs

Help please ……. .
