I have been looking at buying a 94 ctd 2 wd thats in a local paper but a friend of mine said he heard the 94,s had front end problems especially when towing or carrying pick up campers, and that there all over the road. Has anyone else heard anything about this? I thought i better find out before i spend $8000. on this truck.

They're the same as the rest except for the early 94s (like mine) which have a smaller size track bar. (smaller taper on the stud to fame mount) An aftermarket track bar with a lifetime waranty is available for the newer ones. Because production of the earlier design was low, I haven't found any yet for mine.

I think they changed the size in January or Febuary of 94.

My 2500 with 143000 miles tows fine. It's not as precise as it was new, but it's not all over the road. I have changed lower ball joints and shocks.

3500 trucks I have seen have a solid axle like 4x4's. I can't report on them.
