AMERICA and John Wayne !

I have a problem with the throttle on my v 10, it starts up and runs fine at idle or if I really throttle it up, but for normal driving at about 50 or so if I just step down on it a little it gags and slobbers something awful. Anyone else ever have this problem, I am thinking about changing the TPS, don't have a computer so I con't have any other way to check it. Just a thought, will let you know if that is what it is. Oo. Oo.

Woody,

Just to file away in the back of your mind, a fellow over on the V-10 forum was having a similar "miss at cruise and light acceleration" problem and finally cured it by changing out injectors (a known weak link on the V-10's). Before finally doing this, he had changed out sparkplugs and about every sensor on the engine! :( Thankfully, we never had this problem with our 1996 3500 V-10.

Edit: JM2CW, but I would get this problem solved as quickly as possible. This injector problem leans out cylinders and has led to torched piston crowns/cylinder walls. This, in addition to head gasket failures/head problems, has been responsible for most of the grenaded V-10's reported.
