If you can wait, I may have a set of 181s for you. Need to put in the 191s, and see how I like them first.

bmoeller,

just put the 191s in. they really roll the smoke. Wasn't sure how much power they gave me because I also put the 3K gsk in. Those 2 things combined with the 370s is :--)

Miles

They're going in as soon as I get a socket. :) The 191s are waiting for me at the post office. :D Making smoke isn't a problem as it sits right now. :--) :-laf Slid my plate full forward last week. :D Talk about a kick in the butt. WOW! Almost felt like adding the 370s again. Oo. Oo.

The 3k GSK, AFC spring kits (or gutting the AFC) and a mystery switch are on the to do list. :D

Dont care As long as there cut ..... its my brothers truck and it has no fuel plate and no andriod (WHATEVER) and the Fuel Return /over flow valve is not right ... ... .

Ill contact Precision Diesel Injection and Turbo Inc. thanks .

as for the DV's PM me if yoiu have a cheap set and we will go from there

Thanks

bmoeller,

make sure you have a long wrench when you go to remove the barrels. The instructions say to torque them at 85 ft/lbs. but they are on there a lot tighter than that. I broke a sweat just taking them off.

Your sig line says you have a #10 plate. How many horse is it rated at? I was thinking about moving mine forward as well but didn't know how much added power to expect. Its a 60 horse plate, but isn't numbered like yours. I got it from Northeast Diesel in Shelbina, MO and they didn't tell me what number it was, just that it added 60 hp.

You'll love the gsk. I'd have to say that it was darn near as impressive as the 370s.

Miles

The #10 is rated at 220hp/570torque (just a rough number, assuming stock position). Have it full forward now. :D Piers has the full chart on his site. Think your plate is more like a #6, power-wise. Not sure of the profile, though.

Going from a stock plate, then to the #10 (in stock position is a nice increase). Sliding it, is like the 370s again. :D Big difference. Currious how the 191 and a GSK will do. Hope it is all you say it is. :D

If you have 4:10s like me, you'll really like the extra top end it gives you. I can reach between 100 and 105mph. That calculator link you gave me when I first joined was right on. I'm pretty tough to impress, but the gsk left me with a stupid grin plastered on my face :D

Yep, I've got the 4. 10s and the stock size 215 tires (going to 235s next time). I never (with exception to a few quick shots up to 80, or so to get around a pain in the butt driver who thinks he is attached to a bunge cord) run over 75 anyhow, so it really isn't an issue that way. Would help on the dyno, though.

Does the fuel come on any quicker, with the GSK? Already slid the plate ff, and loosened up the AFC spring.

I think it makes the throttle much more responsive. The engine will wrap up in a HURRY. So yeah, I'd say the fuel comes on quicker.

What results did you see from tinkering with your afc spring? Just curious because getting ready to put the Piers kit in and was wondering what to expect.

Also, would you happen to know where in north Missouri can I find a truck dyno? The only dynos around home a tractor dynos.

Sounds good to me. :)

Loosening the AFC spring increased the throttle responce a little and reduced the turbo lag a little also. Slid the plate a day later, so I can't really compare that well.

Saw the biggest gain from sliding the plate ahead. Just don't forget to check that the AFC housing is full forward, otherwise there is little to no gain sliding the plate. Fixed that. :D

Not sure on the dyno. Send a PM to MMiller. He went to a dyno day in northern Missouri in March. I would've gone with him, but was almost to Texas then.

Well I guess the problems not the overflow valve... . its still missing down low and WOT

Keep cracking injectors and when on #2 the miss goes away ..... swaped in a stock injector and it still does it ... . possible delivery valve issue with this clynder???

I NEED SOME DV"S who has a set thats cut for CHEAP???

The copper gasket number (Bosch Part No. is: 2410500032) is still good.

The green o-rings are Bosch P/N BOS2-410-210-033. ~$3/each.
