Archived 95 2wd 2500 Balljoints

I just replace all 4 ball joints on a 95 2500 2wd. When I removed the factory lower ball joints I noticed they were spot welded in two spots. Do I need to spot weld the new ones in or not. I need to know before I put the wheels back on and take it to get the front end aligned. Thanks

My 95 service manual says nothing about spot welding. They only show pressing them in place.
