6bt to 4L80E looking for stand alone comp...

I have access to a 95 3500 2wd Flatbed, with the Solid Front axle. I wonder what it would take to convert this over to 4wd. Would it be as simple as a transmission/transfer/crossmember swap, and bolting the Dana under the front. I have yet to inspect the front end, to see how it mounts. But I would think that it might be doable?? I need some honest opinions ! Oh yeah, dont mind telling me it would be cheaper to buy a 4wd!! That is probably what I need to hear!! :-laf

Yep It would look like that's all you need to do. I had looked at a Cab and Chassis(spell  ) 2wd, and it looks like that's what you need to do. I'd try to get a Wrecked 3500 4X4, and swap out the stuff. You will need to change the Tail housing for the transmission, so get the donnor with the same transmission. I am not sure if the 2wd truck has "lift" blocks on the rear axel, so that needs to be looked. Also, the front axel disconect has a bunch of vacum tubes and hoses that you will need. Whille you are in there, get a better track bar, such as the DSS kit. Best of luck, Moose
