I went to the Airport Monday Morning for a business travel. While finding a parking spot in the parking garage, I smelled fuel. I opened the hood and fuel was squirting out somewhere very near the lift pump. I couldn't tell if it was the pump or a line. Being in my good clothes and having a plane to catch I had to leave it. Now I have to travel back tomorrow and find the problem and try to get the truck home. It appears that the fuel is pulsating at the rate of the lift pump. Any problems with leaks in this area that may help me troubleshoot while on the road. My wife is going to meet me there with tools. Truck is a 95 2500 2wd stardard cab auto.

Thanks for any help.

It could be a lift pump O-ring. The one for the push primer button is prone to failure. A replacement costs about 50 cents at NAPA. You will need the old one to get the right size. The banjo fitting (two fittings actually) at the input to the fuel filter can also fail. The WIF drain at the bottom of the fuel filter is another suspect. I suspect you are going to have to check out the problem to find exactly what is wrong and then get whatever parts you need. More than one trip to the truck for sure.

Thanks for the info. I have a new lift pump on the way already. I have a new fuel filter too. I had the fuel filter crack on my 90, so I am hoping it is that easy. My wife is going bring this up with some tools. I hope it is something easy.

Found the problem. The previous owners had replaced the rubber return line, and put vacuum hose, not fuel line here. I am going to go over all the other lines to see if the same has been done now that the truck is home.
