Heater Grid sticky?

Issue 58

Hi everybody,

Would a 95 Dodge 2500 from California have extra emissions stuff that I would have to worry about? I'm thinking of buying a truck near San Francisco. Also, does anyone know about "heavy duty" transmissions vs. regular tranmissions?

A 95 Cali truck will have a cat but should not have EGR IIRC 160 hp in an auto. Hd transfer case possibly.

I don't think there is any real difference between the '95 CA trucks and the others. The big difference started in '96. The CPL number is different for the '95 CA truck so maybe the timing or something like that is different.

Mine is a CA 95. The trannys are the same as other states. There is no EGR. The one difference is the engines are lower output. My 5 speed is a 175hp engine and the autos were 160. I took care of that with a TST plate. Also all trucks of that era suffer from primer failure and peeling paint.
