Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) TCase & Diff Question

After building a fuel pressure gauge using info from TDR I found as suspected that my overflow valve was bad(8 lbs @ idle and 15 @ 2000rpm). After putting in a new one from Piers, idle was 25 lbs and 2000 rpm to 2800 rpm was 30 to 32 lbs. Is this high enough or should it be reading around 35 to 40 psi?

Thanks,

Brian

your fine. To get 35-40 you would have to stretch the spring a little.

Not quite. I bought a new OF Valve from TST. It idles at 32. Pegs my 40 PSI gauge at road speed. After it warms up, idle is more like 29. The gauge is still pegged. I have not touched the spring in this new one. My gauge is accurate too. When the old OF valve failed my 10 PSI marine alarm did so when the gauge dropped below 10 PSI.

Anything over 18 at idle and 22 at 2000 RPM is fine.
