I am putting a 95 overdrive on my 90 4X4 12V Cummins all is well except I do not know how to make the overdrive and the lock up converter to work like factory with out using toggle switches. Is there a stand along kit to make it work correctly?

None that I'm aware of but I've been told that I don't know much. Toggle switches would work. Another approach might be to incorporate an ECM from a '94 or '95. Hook up the speed sensor and the trans to the ECM.

You can use the mystery switches and/or wire in a pressure switch tagged of the trans governor pressure port or if you want to spend the bucks there are after market controllers that will handle the functions. ATS has a line of controllers to do this as does DTT and I believe BD's offering will work as well.

To make the controllers work you will probably have to come up with a TPS setup as most of them use TPS and speed sensor signal to time the shifts and lockup.

Are you using the 47RH transmission from a 95?

I so, you could semi automatically control the OD and TC without the PCM but it would not be perfect. (of course, neither is the PCM)

There is an electronic speedometer module available that can be used to trigger relays to operate the OD and then the TC in sequence when a set speed is reached and to disable them both below that speed.

The so called "mystery switch" would still be needed for optional control.

I am putting together a relay box that will do that for my 94 but it's purpose is to override the PCM until I'm ready for it to do it's thing.

Basically it is to prevent OD or TC operation until the set speed is reached then control is turned over to the PCM.

In your case, you would still have to monitor and manually control the TC and OD while they were in operation.

You might get it to work with the stock '95 PCM if you have the TPS, front pulley sensor, ATF temp sensor, and speedo sensor from the '95 Dodge. I don't know of any other power train inputs to the PCM. You will need to do some experimenting to make sure.
