How to determine 12V by Vin # in 1998 models

This part looks like a cooler from trans to coolant, some kind of exchanger. It is on a 95 reg cab automatic longbox, and on the pass side of the motor, underthe exhaust manifold, maybe a foot or so long and 6 in across. Anyway the problem is that it is leaking from the fittings, is this a common problem, and what is a permanent fix. ANy help is appreciated.

Nick,

That cooler has the same type of plastic fittings for the cooler lines as the transmission. I replaced all four with compression fittings.

I would recommend the updated line and fittings. It's not a cheap fix but there have been cases where the line would crack next to the compression fitting due to an upset in the material to retain the plastic clips.
