Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) '96 5 speed in '95??

Is it the same as a '95 to '95 transmission swap with a '96 to '95? I am looking at a '96 5 speed, complete with all of the goodies, to swap into my '95 auto. Both are 4x4. Anybody know of any potential holdups or parts not lining up?

Yes

94 - 97 are all the same. Maybe minor tweaks to keep things together but same 5th gear setup and shift tower setup.



From 1998 on up, the shift tower changed and the a few ratios (reverse??) changed slightly. Need a different gear shift benzel with the 1998+ trans in a 97 and older truck but it works.
