96/ 99 Bumper interchange?

Got to replace the front bumper on my 99 SLT due to a large rock at the Grand Canyon campground last fall, and the junk yard has one off of a 96. Any reasons why this swap won't work?

Vic,
It'll work just fine. You might try looking at a truck speciality store, one that sells replacement bumpers. They often have takeoffs that may be newer and nicer. Good luck.
