2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I agree, that is some awesome equipment for the era it was built in. Correct me if I am wrong but it seems like it was the Dodge boys who had it tossed out of racing because it would beat their Hemi's.
Honestly don't know, Nick, but there was a ton of skullduggery, and "rule book maneuvering" with the homologation rules and all that from all brands. Best cheater wins, right?

A real run what ya brung kinda guy. Pretty cool. Got video of that pull?

I don't, his wife is the video person but she had to run the store while he went to play. That 'ol truck is a sleeper, when we run together I stay in the slow lane:)
When he hits the propane, the stacks blow black smoke, roar and stinks:D With everything set on kill, he runs about 550/1100.

He is such a blind loyal Ford fan:eek: I have a Dana-70HD, disk brake, 19.5 wheel, 4.88 limited slip axle out of a GM motor home. He will not let me give it to him. He would rather run his 'ol D-80, 16" wheel, 5.13 geared, disk brake and limited slip axle....He overloads that poor truck horible but it just keeps on a haulin but the tires don't last anytime at all.

The truck is rated 15k GVW, it weighs 12.5 empty, so load up a full size 4 door long bed diesel pickup and do the math. The bed is too short (19') it really needs a 21', all the weight goes on the rear axle now.

OK but you owe TDR a video of that rig in full pull mode, pretty cool.

Auto or handshaker?

I am still hoping someone at the event took a cell video or something.

It has a ZF 5spd. with a Spicer 4 spd aux. I think the ratios are 2.15, 1.25, 1.00 and 0.85...clutch is Valair ceramic single disk.

Update on the 556 big block, finally getting somewhere. Repost of the original dyno sheet from the original builder.

#ad

New dyno sheet from the new rebuilder, (565 now) he figures he can get about 30 more hp with a jet change and a different vacuum pump gear, using Q16 fuel.

This old Dodge is so ugly and strange, most organizations make him pull exhibition, they say they don't have a class for him:D He can beat the pretty trucks:eek:
