Started the truck and ran fine got up the street and it started dropping cylinders like gelled fuel (50 degrees out) please tell me where to start, this doesnt look good with a duramax having to tow me home.

The first thing I would check is the fuel shut off soleniod. Make sure it stays full up when the switch is in the on position, all though if it were a failed soleniod I would think it would have died like you shut it off. Next would be change the fuel filter. If you have a guage, check the fuel pressure. Maybe the fuel pump died? Sucking air from bad fuel line? You are sure you have fuel in the tank. Don't trust the fuel guage! I'm sure others will have more ideas.
