is there an easy way to remove the rotors on a 97 2500 ram. . thanks

Maybe... . Depends on how talented you are and how lucky you are. I can get the hubs off my truck in about 25 minutes. They have always been easy to get off. Others spend days beating and pulling on the hubs and end up destroying them. Depends a bit on where the truck has lived (salt!) and if the unit bearings have ever been off and if never sieze was used.

Use the search function on this site to find dozens of descriptions on how to do hub removal.
 
Loosen the hub bolts (behind the hub) 1/4", put a socket with extension on one of the front bolts and use the power steering to push the hub off; you'll see which one to do. Then use a press to push the studs out; they can be tight and can let go with a rather loud bang.
