Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 98-00 Comp or TST PM3?

Will a 98-00 Comp box or TST PM3 work on a 01 truck? Is it like the 02 to 01 thing where you can just get a pigtail, or will it just not work?

You just need a new pigtail.

I can't say for sure about the TST, but I know for a fact a 98-00 Comp won't work on an '01 truck. I assume the TST is the same.

The TST should come with the correct adaptors to work on any 24V truck.

if the TST is used and doesnt have the proper 01 map harness you can get one easily straight from TST. get the grabber plug too if it doesnt already have it

You can get adapters to make the box fit, but the MAP sensor voltages will be different so the boost values would be off. I don't know how much of a difference this would make, but the 98-00 trucks have different MAP sensor voltage readings than the 01-02 trucks. I'm no expert, but I know they are different. Maybe call TST or Edge to get the specific details. Maybe this is something that can be reprogrammed fairly easily?

TST will work on 98. 5-02 no timing. Edge Comp 98. 5-00 is diff. than comp 01-02
