Hi

Are 98- 02 injectors all the same part numbers?

Wanna buy some extras cheap. Saw some on ebay,

off a 2001 thought I'd ask the people that know .

2nd question is, should I use Prestone yellow or

some red stuff with distilled water?

Do both of these ( red and yellow ) meet specs for cummins ?

Or should I use Fleetguard mix at $10 a gallon?

Ok thats 4 :D questions but I figured somebody know off the

top of there head.

Thanks to all you contributers, I love this place.

The HO injectors are actually a few less hp, like 10-20 hp from what I've heard

I have a spare set of SO injectors for mine, for cores or to put tips on.

Morning, thanks for quick reply.

So your SO injectors are the same as my '99,

but you have no tips in them, or they do

and they'd be good for cores.

How many miles you got on them?

I'm kinda looking for some to drop in.

thanks again :)

As far as coolant goes color means nothing it is just die. most coolant is ethylene glycol. a lot of new coolants are propolene glycol this is the environmentally friendly stuff and the way most companys are going. do not mix the 2 if at all possible and if not using a premixed solution ALWAYS use distilled water but (RO) reverse osmosis water is the best if it can be gotten most grocery stores carry both. the trick with coolant is to find some with the lowest silicates this is the bad stuff that causes eletrolosis in the engine block and the scaley looking stuff in radiator core using bad water will cause this also. Most coolant companys do not list silicate levels other than amsoil they say 0% in theres. But If $ is that important to you Shop around. I would recommend a high quality propolene glycol antifreeze. A name would be SIERRA but I am not sure the quality of it as I only use Amsoil.

Great Replies

Mark Craig Might look for some used RV's in the classifieds right now .

I already got new Jammer Stage 2 tips :D , not sure yet I like the heat they make when towing.

BILLVO I use alot of Amsoil will check into there coolant, Our local

farm store ," The Andersons" handles Amsoil now.

OL Ratlr Hey I'll call Cummins today, I use to get good prices there. Hopefully still!!!!
