I have a 98 12 valve 4x4 and it has developed a every loud screeching noise in the front driver side wheel... any ideas of what that could be???

Pull the wheel off. Take a look at the brake pads, and the rotor. If you have trouble with this, just take some pics and we can help you. Hopefully, and most likely, it's the brakes. If not, it's the wheel bearing. Or you might get real lucky, and it's just something rubbing, like the splash guard got bent and is hitting the rotor.

scotmartin has it right. You will need to remove the wheel and check for anything unusual. Hopefully it's something simple.

Welcome to TDR by the way!

Couple of ideas before you tear down (you still should) Does the screech change: 1. turning the wheel while rolling? 2. if you apply the brakes lightly 3. 4WD vs 2WD? IMHE 1,2 make a brake scuff more likely. 3 would highlight a bearing or u-joint issue. Good Luck!

thank you guys!, i have tried all these thangs and the only way it changes is if im driving and i make a turn. im leaning more to the wheel bearing being bad. Dose anyone know where i can get a good deal on one?
