depends on milage and condition. If its a good shape 4x4 with under 100k its worth about 15k. Also if it is totally stock it is worth more to me because I know it couldn't have been beat on too bad.

Not around here it would not be. If it was perfect, it might bring $13k here and I think that is even a bit of a stretch. Personally I would not pay that much for one.

I have found truck pricing to be very regional though.

Cooker's right, I'd say too that truck pricing is very regional. Even if you don't need financing, go visit a local bank and have them give you a quote on a loan for something you're looking at. Generally that will give you a pretty good idea on what you ought to pay for something, especially when you're looking at a stock truck.

I found even the banks around here are a little off.

When I bought my 2000 a few months back they were willing to loan me twice what I paid for it (granted I think I got a good deal) but it was still easily about 4,000 more than I thought the truck should have sold for locally.

A buddy just bought a 2000, QC, 4x4, SLT with 155k miles on it an the bank placed the value at $18k. That is a long ways away from what that truck sells for around here.

...

My quad-cab long bed 98 12v 5-speed {with or without the high mileage} is worth $10,050 according to KBB.com that regular cab is worth barely that maybe $11,000 with low miles and in PERFECT shape.

I'd rather buy a truck that has some choice mods from someone who knows not to use Fram oil filters and who isn't affraid to put a little heat in the engine to get the rings seated vs. a low mile blow-by king that's been maintained by WalMart :p

Amen Forrest, I also belive that a truck that has been used a little would be a great find, but I also believe that Cooker is correct in saying that trucks in his area ( northern US ) are worth a good bit less than a southern or southwestern truck. They have been in a lot of salt and bad weather and we all know that a truck that has started to rust will always continue to rust, it is a lot easier to paint one and replace all the weather stripping and rubber goods than try to get all the rusty brake lines and all the rust in the weld seams fixed. I personally will not look at a truck for myself that is for sale in the mid west or norhtern US and I live here!
