I've searched the archives, but couldn't find a direct answer.

I have a '98. 5 3500 6-speed, that needs new foglights.

Here is what I found, (I found both RH and LH)

BUT,

I would like to put these lights instead (both LH and RH),

These lights look like they have the same mounting brackets, but I like the "clear lense" look of the '99 - '01 lights better.

I allready bought new headlights, and new clear corners for my truck, along with several other items to freshen up my truck.

What's your thought?

Thanks,

Merrick

How did you get a 6 speed in a 98. 5?

With a transmission jack and a pilot shaft. :-laf

All you need to do is get a clutch/flywheel combo that mates up to the input shaft. Two different 6 speed input shafts were used - the early ones behind SO motors, and the later ones behind the HO motor.

There are many, many things in my '98. 5 that aren't factory. . :D

I actually typo'd and just listed it off the top of my head. I should have just said "manual". My truck came with a 5-speed, and I blew it up, so I popped a 6-speed in there for not much more than a new 5-speed.

My 6-speed was made in 2002ish, and is one of the rare ones that uses the small input shaft. So far so good. Over 40,000 miles of 1,000rwtq.
