I’m selling my beloved 1998 Dodge Ram 12-valve Cummins. The truck is a 1998.5 Quad-cab short bed RWD auto. It has roughly 320K miles on it, I’ll get the actual mileage and update the ad.

This truck is my baby. I bought the ‘95 in 2001 and have owned the truck as it is now since 2011. My family and friends can’t believe I’m selling her. Situations have changed, too many vehicles and too many projects, so I’ve decided to let her go. She’s a good, solid truck that would be a really nice truck with some paint and other cosmetic odds and ends. I’m asking $9,800 for her. I’ll gladly tell you more than you want to know about her, I have nothing to hide and want the buyer to know her like I do.

The body is solid, no rust, the truck’s from FL, but she’s not pretty. It needs paint, typical Dodge peeling clear coat. The driver side rocker panel is damaged from where it was backed into. It also damaged the driver door, front fender, both hubcaps, and one of the wheels. I replaced the door and fender. The passenger side looks pretty good except the paint. Feel free to contact me for details, I’ll tell you anything you want to know.

The interior is NICE, leather and wood grain trim. The front seat bottoms have been recovered with vinyl. Again, contact me for more details.

The engine is from my 1995 that was totaled in my driveway. It features a fresh set of reworked injectors from Infinite Performance. I just replaced all engine gaskets and seals except the head and oil pan gaskets. I replaced the injection pump with a virgin low mileage pump, also. It has a #10 plate, 181 delivery valves, and 3K governor springs. The turbo is an HE351.

The 47RE transmission features a Goerend triple disc converter, constant pressure valve body, billet input shaft, and billet small parts. It has a manual lockup switch and the VB allows lockup in any gear. The transmission is strong.

The rear axle was professionally rebuilt in Oct 2019 with all new bearings, new 3.54 ring & pinion, and the LSD clutches replaced. Front rotors, calipers, pads, and hoses were replaced last year. Batteries are less than a year old. Water pump, belt, and tensioner were replaced last spring. Tires have @ 5K miles on

PM me for details or more pics.

Dropped it to $6,800.

I had a fellow that was supposed to come Tuesday, so I went and cleaned all my things out. It hadn’t been started or driven in a month and it’s been COLD. She started right up as I expected. Cleaned her out, and took her down the road. I’m going to miss her. The first to come drive it will buy it.

It sounds like it served you well and will be missed. They definitely become part of the family.
