Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 98.5 Airc conditioner clutch

My A/C clutch appears to have gone out, get the loud click but no compressor. Is it worth while to buy the special tools to pull the old clutch and is a new one available with out buying the whole compressor. I used to do all of my own A/C work on the R12 systems but my tools are basically useless on the R134 Sys's.

You may want to do a search on here about this. I seem to remember someone talking about removing shims out of the AC clutch to make it engage as it wears with age.
