2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 98.5 guages freaking out when hot

when I tow and put the screws to it on hill and such, the eng temp guage goes 240, check guages light comes on and I put the clutch in, coast for a few seconds... start driving again and the temp goes back down to 200 or so instantly... later , when backing my trailer in reverse all hell broke loose. The check eng light lit up oil at 0 PSI and the engine was clost to 240... but there was really nothing wrong. What is going on with these guages? Ideas?



oh, the dealer checked codes today... nothing... they also went on a fishing expedition for wiring issues... nothing
