Archived 98 dead need help

My buddys girl had his truck and she was being helpful and put gas inhis diesl not knowing that happen we tought we had water in fuel played with it got toidle drained the tank put fuel in but no throttle talk to diesel show they said VP44 and injetors about $3000. 00 can some one help us ?

Did you change the fuel filter , may have stirred up some stuff , then fuel pressure test , check lift pump 1st then go onto the VP pump , the VPs are known to be weak , but never replace anything with out testing , something like the fuel filter is cheap enough that that is ok to replace with out testing .
Then go on to codes .
If you lucky , maybe just bleeding the system will get it going .

CLEAN/FLUSH EVERYTHING! gas is not a lube, and can kill a VP. add a good fuel lube to tank, open/flush fuel system from tank to filter, change filter,close lines, then open @ VP and flush, then injector lines cycle lift pump till no gas remains. last change oil.
