Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 98 exhaust question.

Does anyone know if the factory exhaust on my truck has a true catalytic converter or some sort of resonator?

Mine had a catalytic converter on it. I figure all the 98 12 valves did.

I can't say if ALL '98's had them but mine did also. I thought at first it was a Calif. thing like the EGR but since "JustScott" in Tx has one it appears they are more widespread.

My 98 just has a resonator in front of the muffler. Least I'm pretty sure that's what it was. Either way it's not there anymore.

Mine had the Catalytic convertor on it but now it is all long gone. 5" system, no muffler, no cat and a 6" magnaflow tip... I love the sound of a 12valve!

In the 98s the 12valves had a cat, the 24valves had a resonator.
