Sorry for the long post, but Bottom Line Up Front: Dorman Part # 525-104 fits. Good info for those with 1999-2000 with cruise and radio controls on the steering wheel.
I have a 1999 2500 Sport. My clock spring (CS) crunched last weekend, due to fatigue (sticking while turning wheel) and my own stupidity while performing front end work. The airbag light came on, lost cruise and radio controls on the steering wheel and I instantly knew what I had done. I couldn't find a CS anywhere local for a '99 w/ cruise and radio. Researching the web, Rock Auto carried an Airtex CS (p/n # 8G1017) that fit 99-02, for $146 and crossed with OEM #56045456AG (for radio/cruise), but no Dorman products. I then pulled up the Rock Auto catalog for a 2001 and 2002 and it showed Dorman CS #525-104 (for radio/cruise) at a significantly cheaper price. Dorman web site shows #525-104 only fits 01-02, but I took a chance, found one locally at O'reilly's for $41 and it fit up perfectly and the air bag, cruise and radio controls work. I'm inclined to send a note to Dorman and inform them this part also works on 99-00 trucks.
BTW, if you have to replace your clock spring make sure you really squeeze the male and female air bag harness connections under the dash together really good. I didn't the first time and the air bag light stayed on. Couldn't figure it out, so this morning I pulled it all back apart, read resistance across the wires all the way to the control module on the transmission hump and realized that I did not have a good connection. All good now.
I don't want to even know what the dealer would have charged me for this fix.
