I have all apart and going to split transfer case to try to seal it up, Last time I did this I used Permatex Grey 29132 that is (I think) what Mopar has in their renumbered tubes . Since I did this 200k ago (at 95K) and have always had a very slow leak seeming to be coming from the case half seal with the Permatex Grey that I used the first time. I have only needed to put less than a pint in each year for last 10 years or so, but I have it all apart now doing the fifth gear/nut fix so with the t-case here in front of me, I am doing that also and thought I would ask if there might be something that anyone has found better than this grey Permatex??
Thanks

I’ve always used Permatex Ultra Grey. I always let it setup overnight before adding oil.

Just finished my fifth gear fix and used ultra grey where needed and gaskets and did the t-case also, both trans rear and all seals in t-case and split the t-case and all back together (did this all with trans in the truck and t-case on the bench) have driven it over 50 miles now and with two roll under s on the creeper, I have no sign of any leaks so far. I think I did it right this time, but I did take my sweet time with it! I am 79 years old so it takes me more time than it used to!!
