I have a 99 Dodge 4x4 2500. Last friday when I was coming home from work I was pulling a hill and noticed that the speedometer was dropping below 35 and the truck was making less than 3 pounds of boost. (I normally can pull the same hill at 55 mph with little effort and about 12 pounds of boost) I then noticed that the check engine light came on.

The truck just would not go until the pedal was all the way on the floor and then it would downshift and take off like normal, but as soon as I let up it would drop right back down again. The fuel pressure and EGT's were what it normally is. After I got home, I shut the truck off and checked everything over to make sure there was nothing obvious and then took the truck out again. Then the Check Engine Light stayed on but it ran fiine. For the last 600 miles the light went out and it has ran fine until this morning i had the same situation happen all over again...

I took the truck to Autozone and they hooked their diagnostics computer up to it, and came up with this:

TROUBLESHOOTING PO237

THe PCM has determined that the input voltage for the boost pressure sensor "A" is too low for the engine operating conditions.

What could the problem be?

Thanks,

Ben

99 Dodge 2500 4x4 , Fass fuel system, 4 inch straight pipe, Banks power pack system.

The person who oned the truck before me put the banks kit on it. But I have owned the truck for 22,000 miles without any trouble from it. How can I determine if the banks kit is indeed the problem? Or what else could it be?

Thanks

Ben

Take the blanks box out of line. And double check connections for corrosion or loose fit. And pray that your VP isn't taking a dump.

the boost presure sensor on intake manifold towards rear of motor drivers side . you can check it with a snap on scanner cheap part hope this helps TD
