I have a 99 2500 whose front brakes locked up after ABS and brake light had come on. Checked brake fluid reservoir, added about 1/4 cup. Later same day, hard pedal developed near the top, brakes lugged down engine, became very hot. Parked it to cool about 1/2 hour, calipers seemed to release.

Because pads had worn down from first episode, replaced pads and calipers. Same problem after replacement. Hard pedal, hot brakes, parked it.

Only vehicle, need truck ASAP. Help!!

I'm not shure but I think your truck has non servicable hubs in front. When they go bad they will take out the abs sensor in the front and turn on the ABS and brake lights.

Sometimes old brake lines (rubber) will collaspe when they get hot keeping the brake fluid pressurised and not allowing it return to the reservoir. This causes the brakes to applied until the lines to cool off.

The other thing, if you used old brake fluid, it could have moisture in it. Moisture causes the rubber lines to swell, causing a flapper (condition described in #3 above).
