MY BROTHER HAS A 99 3/4 4X4 WITH LIFT KIT

AND 285 OR 315'S OR ABOUT THAT SIZE TIRES

AND 4. 11 GEARS , IS 14-15 EMPTY NORMAL?



ALSO HE WANTS POWER BUT NOT LOWER MPG

I TOLD HIM TO JUST A EZ BOX



WHATS BEST AND IS THE MPG NORMAL

If he has not corrected the speedo for the bigger tires the mileage figures are going to be low and not actual.

If you take that in to consideration then 14-15 is somewhat low.

If not then it is ok because you will add 10% to 15% to your figures and that will put him right in the ballpark of normal.
 
Ted is correct, with 285's it calculated out to be just over 8%. That would mean that he is getting about 16. 2 mpg with 285's, and even more with larger tires.
