Hello all, I wandered over from the 3G section... My grandfather has a 99 3500 DRW 2wd Ram. The ABS and Brake light came on a few months back and have stayed on. After searching through 108 posts I found that a common problem is the rear wheel abs sensor on the pumpkin. Problem is, this truck also has very sensitive brakes. The truck drove normally but once those two lights came on if you breath too hard on the brake pedal you eat the steering wheel for lunch... Any ideas? I've tried reading codes and nothing is coming up. Thanks :D

On my 99 I replaced the ABS sensor but that did not clear the lights. Took a while in the chasing, but I ended up replacing the brake light switch on the steering column. That cleared the lights. As far as the sensitive brakes, I do not know what to tell you. My rear brakes do that when it's wet or really cold. I've gone thru the rear brakes but have not found a problem. Could be the proportioning valve.

Yeah I read a few things about the wet brake syndrome but this has been a steady problem since the lights came on as in the minute the lights came on the brakes got way too hard.
