First bomb looks like either stage 2 or 3 level injectors. Will have full gauges, free flow 4" exhaust and Amsoil air filter in place. What do I need to do along with the injectors to increase boost and not set codes? What is the best bang for the buck in boost foolers and boost elbows for a 99'? Thanks guys.

Nice set-up!

I run 275's without my EZ now because of the 47re. When the DDII's, HX turbo and EZ were on my truck it was fast but the transmission was showing signs of failure after 2 weeks of abuse. The set up was great for towing but I had to KNOW the TC was locked. If it wasn't, the transmission wouldn't hold the engine. I'm back to stock w/275's until my rich uncle dies and buys my new trans.

Boost was ~30 to 32 and performance was good. Bomb the transmission first. Mike

todd,

in january i installed DD2's , big air filter, 4" exhaust and a boost fooler. have yet to make 1000f pulling our 7000lb travel trailer. best thing is unloaded or loaded mpg's have remained very close to stock figures. granted my truck is overkill for the trailer i pull but i have been really happy with this modest Bomb.

Well, Todd-to-Todd  , Checkout my profile button... . My '99 has been running on DD3's and the DDUFM box for awhile (something like 50-60000 mi. ) with no ill effects that I can attribute to the upgrades.

I noticed on my run home today (Houston to Vidor) @ 73mph / approx 2200rpm - unloaded with box set on 3x3 - that EGT's were just a tad over the 500 mark with boost right on the 5# mark.

I've noticed this is pretty typical on my setup, gets a little hotter on EGT's with a slight increase in boost sometimes (depending on outside temps & wind conditions), but nothing major.

True now - with the box gets turned up to KILL, at the end of 1/4 mi. run, EGT's are above 1450.

Just wish I could find turbo upgrade laying around somewhere.

Anywho... ... . I see you're an auto - so it's a safe bet you'll probably be looking into a transmission upgrade sooner than later.

Search the forums - there's a LOT of good info here.

TS, you are blessed. Same situation I'm running at least 600, sometimes 700 degrees F. This was I-80E through first half of WY. Think your enviroment is probably some warmer than where I was. 1,400 degrees F before I noticed upgrade under load. . . like to had my second heart attack. Got fuel, think I need more air and then get it out of the engine.

My current wish list:

get the engine right

Laptop Engine Scanner SW

Taylor Wing w/L. E. D. 's

Heated adjustable tow mirrors

Dual Stacks

Hauler body

#ad

Cheers,

Steve J.
