I think I know the expensive answer to this- I backed up my trailer on a narrow bushy driveway, caught the mirror and forced the swivel past the stop. I tried to bring it back and it locked into the folded position too far forward ( away from the window). The driving position is way to the front. The locking spring is enclosed in a housing with a retention clip that might require special tools to remove and replace. I think the mirror cost me $150 and I'd like to fix this one if possible. Forcing it back doesn't work.
