A 99 3/4 T QC 4X4 that seemed to drift to the left and at speed there was a slight resistance when trying to correct. Correcting usually led to a little bit of overcorrecting. Might this be a symptom of the steering box being too tightly adjusted? This is a sweet looking truck, and sweet driving except for the steering issue. New car clean inside and out. He is wanting 19888 so even if this steering issue is fixed I have some negotiating to do. I have driven other fullsize 4x4s (owned an 87 GMC . 75 4x4) and none of them had this "feature" :( Might this be expensive to fix? I know that is a really broad and vague question.

I posted on this same truck a while back and there was a transmission shifting issue which someone on here correctly predicted the fix. Turned out to be a selonoid in the transmission.

Thanks,

Could be the steering box is adjusted too tight. If it pulling to one side or the other, could be several things. Brake drag, alignment, steering box adjustment, to name a few.

$19. 8k sounds a bit high, for a '99. .

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that 19. 8 is too much, but it is a dealer and they always have a jacked up asking price. I'm thinking 16k if they can fix this steering issue.
