First a truck description. All the mods were done in 2002-2003 by the prior owner. 2 van aiken programmers on board(I will have to peak under dash, I can't recall models), DD 2s, afe mega cannon, 4" straight through, turbo was replaced, fass lift pump, Exhaust brake, BD upgraded the trans but I am not sure exactly what they did other than valve body modification and oversize pan, (It has real firm shifts), it has a switchable torque converter lock that can lock only on downshifting or up and downshifting. I have 8 dyno sheets that were done as the truck was moded, It ended up with 403hp/872tq to the wheels without the straight pipe and afe.

Now for the problem, I did ground wire mod and that fixed the lock unlock problem with the torqe converter. The trans sometimes will act like it wont go into first gear unless manually done, even then sometimes it wont. If I restart sometimes it will act fine, somtimes it continues to not go into first until driven for a while. If I tow heavy, it doesn't seem to want to down shift on its own, and feels like it is slipping. Their seems to be no consistency to the problem either. I can't predict when its going to happen. This am it would not move in drive for about 15 seconds when I first started it? I have had the trans flushed. Any ideas?

I can help you with the TC drain down issue. That is common with these transmission, more so if they set for extended times. In stock form fuild is not pumped in park, so start the engine and put it in "N" and idle for 30 seconds to refill the TC. Regarding your other issues, call Bill at DTT 866-504-4002, you may need a voltage regulator or resistor installed. SNOKING
