Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 99 transmission temp

after e-mailing valvoline on using max life in my transmission, which they said meets type-4 specs. our local parts store has a sign indicating max-life for chrysler transmissions. I changed my fluid, 7 quarts. Everything seems fine except now the temp runs about 10 degrees (150) higher locked and 40 degrees unlocked (205). Should i go back to type-3. The temps are not towing.

I would change back. that extra 40 degrees unlocked is gonna take some life out of the trans IMO.

I am worried about 200 on hilly dirt roads. I will change back to atf3
