Hey guys, dont know if getting the truck stuck had anything to do with the reason it wouldnt start but I will tell the whole story anyway...
So anyways got stuck, rocked the truck back and forth a bunch of times but no luck so I shut the truck off while I was waiting for my buddy to arrive. When he finally arrived I hopped back into the truck hit the key and no go. Cranked over real well but didnt even fire once. Fuel pressure gauge showed no fuel pressure so I looked into that. Couldn't hear the fuel pump running either. Checked all the fuses and swapped relays, nothing bad there! Ok so I decided to hotwire the fuel pump just to get it running. Had 12 psi, then hit the key and still no start. Tried several times. So I had fuel pressure and it was cranking but still would not start. Any ideas? I went back home to get my scanner and was looking at sensor data, the FIRST time I hit the key ,boom the truck was running like nothing ever happened. And now it leaves me scratching my head as to what happened just wondering the next time it wont start. So far what I have learned is that the ECM sends power directly to the fuel pump? So for some reason when it wasnt sending power to the fuel pump it wasnt allowing the injection pump to fire? So what do you guys think? ECM or ?

At first blush, I'd suspect a bad clutch/ignition switch - possibly intermittent?

Altho'. I don't think it would even crank over if that switch was bad...

Clutch switch disables the starter completely!

You may have to re-prime the injectors now and cranking without fuel. Do you have a frame mounted pump that had the wires pulled loose on?

Snoking

When truck was stuck was the nose pointed downward? Was in a bad situation yrs ago where truck nose was pointed downhill severely and wouldn't fire up. Wrecker had to haul it out and once back at my house fired right up.

Yup, that's the way my '02 is, wasn't sure about earlier models. ;)

I seem to remember earlier posts about sudden impacts, or seriously off-level incidents that are designed to shut down the ignition system in case of accident...

Have you driven the truck enough to get it good and hot? A bad ECM could be intermittent due to temperature changes and the expansion and contraction. Do you now have fuel pressure without hot wiring the pump?
